Of my many interests, very few are a distraction from learning. I find that every day living is an opportunity to learn more about the world I live in, the people I am surrounded by and even more about myself. The books I love to read are not the novels and stories; which I do value, don’t misunderstand me. My type of reading is directly related to answering my curiosities. I like to learn the hows and whys of the world I have to face daily. Seems boring to some, but my curiosity has a major appetite for knowledge.

My family is of utmost importance to me. My son is now a teenager with many curiosities and my daughter is still quite young-born 2000, reading and asking questions as well. My wife and I have been married over 25 years. Family is important to me because no matter how much knowledge I gain from a book or lecturers and all, I will not survive to the degree that I do now without family. Their love is so strong and supporting that I simply consider myself blessed.

My interests beyond books are learning the Russian language. I love this language and I enjoy the moments of studying it that seem to be difficult to find lately. After studying the Russian language I traveled to Russian and to Ukraine in one year. Ukraine is a country that I have fallen in love with and visit every year with students from Lee University. After my second visit, I ended up moving to Ukraine as a Fulbright lecturer for a six month period. The enjoyment of teaching and living in the land of Ukraine is one I will never forget and hopefully repeat some day. My three week trips to Ukraine will suffice for now though.

I have a page that is setup as a photo gallery only.  It has photos of my family and my trips to Ukraine, China, England etc.  Check it out!
